Some planes very fragile, some too strong (e.g large bombers often crumple like paper, whereas some small fighters are like tanks) There is no 'reset controls' button (sometimes the game deletes your controls, but due to their being no 'reset controls' button, it can take 10mins to undo) Ghost shells (where the tank shell you just fired doesn't render, leaving you to reload without doing any damage) Repair costs (especially those of France, where without prenium most of their vehicles will turn a loss instead of profit) Terrible balancing (battle ratings are too compressed, leading to unbalanced games where a ww2 tank may face a cold war one) Some tech trees just copy and pasted from other nations (*cough* China *cough*) Terrible in game economy (meaning there's a high chance that you'll have to pay to buy the in game currancy to afford things, as matches without prenium provide little rewards) Maps poorly designed (especially spawns which are all open, allowing easy spawncamping) Most 'modern' (cold war on) are located at the end of the grind (near impossible to reach without paying) Most of the best vehicles are locked behind paywalls as preniums Unreliable servers (crash or glitch a lot) Pros: -Unique game (more realistic than the world of. I would not recommend this game to anyone because they would be better without it. 99/100 times you enter a match you will leave it being more frustrated than you were before. Overall: I've played over 300 hours in this game with thousands of matches and I'm still only in late tier 4 tanks (there's 11 tiers that get exponentially higher research requirements). Every aspect of the game is aimed to squeeze money out of you and I would not recommend it to anyone. Then finally you get the tank you've been trying to get for months and realize it just throws you into a higher tier match where it is completely worthless and the cycle repeats. There are bugs that have been around for years and still not fixed, unbalanced tanks that dominate specific tiers, maps designed to have "cheap" spots so you can get shot out of nowhere, making it all the more frustrating and tempting to pay money to progress to that next tank you've been wanting for months. Once you get to tier 4-5 research costs increase exponentially going from a few thousand to well over 100 thousand (you get about 1k research per match if you do good) and the repair costs exceed more than what you earned in a mission forcing you to go back and play low tier to earn enough money to play high tier. It tries to get you addicted to the game in low tier matches where it puts you against armature players and easy to achieve tanks that only take 1-2 battles to get. Unique game mechanics and damage systems where there's more critical parts than others (like if you shoot the engine it cannot move, etc.)Ĭons: This game only exists to suck money out of your wallet. Realistic tank models for several countries Oh and a comical bias which puts certain tanks at ridiculously underrated BR, or vastly overpowered tanks (basically someone believing their own propaganda). Overall: If you want to ruin your life, how you feel (as in do you want to feel infuriated at the latest illogicality, or being spawn camped for the 5th game running etc, play this game - it looks pretty, but it's P2W, and full of basement dwelling creeps, camping, especially on any tank after BR 3.0. This happens repeatedly, level 3 players completely destroying you based on an algorithm based on who has paid the most to Gaijin. Illogical kills (ie 98% accuracy results in repeated non effected hits with explosive shells and low level players that one shot kill you □□♂️ - clown logic).īad design allows players to do this again and again.ĭespite being rated as a good player, so many shots every game are bouncing off at point blank range (190mm penetration shell v 50mm armour). Well there can be decent players when you find them, tend to team up with them. Pros: Lower level game play - more run and gun.
